Description
Barolo DOCG: The Expression of Piedmontese Excellence
Heritage & Vision While our roots are in the Marche, we have chosen to include this Barolo as a tribute to the peerless heritage of Piedmont. This region played a pivotal role in the Italian Risorgimento through the visionary leadership of Count Cavour, and its wine remains a premier ambassador of Italian excellence on the global stage.
Terroir & Origin
Vineyards: Located in the prestigious inter-municipal crus between La Morra and Barolo. This site is widely recognized as one of the most significant subzones in the region.
Soil & Landscape: Situated at an altitude of 250–350 meters, the vines benefit from an ideal South and South-Eastern exposure. The soil—a unique blend of limestone-clay with sandy nuances—is rich in microelements like potassium and magnesium, granting the wine its signature elegance and mineral complexity.
Varietal: 100% Nebbiolo da Barolo.
Craftsmanship (Vinification)
Fermentation: The grapes undergo a meticulous 25–30 day fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, utilizing an automatic pump-over system to ensure optimal extraction.
Aging: To respect the tradition of the “King of Wines,” it is refined for at least three years in large 5,000-liter Slavonian oak barrels, allowing the tannins to soften while maintaining the purity of the fruit.
Sensory Profile
Character: A dry, austere, and deeply flavorful palate. It is remarkably harmonious, boasting an elegant bouquet of fruity and spicy notes underpinned by a powerful concentration of phenolic compounds.
Serving Suggestion: Best enjoyed at a temperature of 16–17°C.
Allergen Information: Contains Sulphites.
